Australian manufacturing performance software company, OFS, announced it is helping National Ceramic Industries Australia (NCIA) beat the current energy crisis affecting Australian manufacturers. By using OFS sensors on production lines, NCIA – Australia’s largest producer of ceramic floor and wall tiles and one of the largest single-site users of natural gas – saved almost half a million dollars annually in energy costs.
An analysis suggests that Canada is using questionable methods to dramatically underestimate greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry industry, which it says equal those from Alberta’s oilsands in some years. “Canada is taking credit for carbon removal from vast forests that have never been logged as a way of masking emissions,” said Michael Polanyi of Nature Canada, which co-sponsored the report.
