The shop’s 64-pallet Fastems flexible manufacturing system is currently connected to two Okuma four-axis mills. The Fastems system is currently paired with two Okuma MB-5000H four-axis horizontal machines. As such, the shop is using this newer machine standalone until Fastems can upgrade the FMS.
