Dillon Jaw Forming Rings Provide Improved Part Concentricity
The jaw forming rings provide uniform pressure for a more consistent bore on large-diameter chucks.
Dillon Manufacturing’s self-centering jaw forming rings, or jaw boring rings, attach to the front of jaws without tools so installation and setup times are reduced. The device provides a jaw surface true to the machine centerline, increasing efficiency for running machined parts.
The jaw forming rings provide uniform pressure on jaws for a more consistent bore on large-diameter chucks. Soft jaws, round jaws and full-grip jaws can be precisely machined for a firmer grip of the workpiece. They compensate for “jaw lift” even in worn chucks, which yields better part concentricity. They are available in diameter-specific models from 6-18" in diameter or adjustable models to bore a range of chuck diameters. Both styles feature a no-tools attachment.
