Stainless steel supplier Swiss Steel presents Ugima-X martensitic and duplex steels, which extend the quality of the company’s Ugima-X austenitic grades.

New material options include Ugima-X 4021 and Ugima-X 4028 in the martensitic steel family, offering increased hardness and high wear resistance. In addition, Ugima-X 4460 has been introduced from the duplex steel family, which is known for its easy machinability, although duplex steels have a reputation for being difficult to machine.

According to the company, these Ugima-X grades are characterized by their reproducible behavior during machining, thus offering high productivity and optimal adaptability to the various cutting conditions on automatic and CNC machines. A balance of sulfur and oxide elements ensure optimum chip splitting and a longer service life for cutting tools, which also translates to increased machining efficiency.
