Recently, WEG came to our the office to provide us with training on the CFW500 VSD. We love a good training session because it helps us better serve our customers when we’re well-versed in the products we sell. We wanted to take this opportunity to share some of our new knowledge with you!

 

What We Learned

WEG CFW500 high-performance variable speed drive is available in .33HP – 75HP and 200-600V so they can be used in a wide range of applications. 

 

Integrated STO ‘ safety torque off’ improves performance and makes them easy to use. 

 

The drive comes standard with IP20 protection, and NEMA 1 option for harsher environments. 

 

Also, they are rated 3C2 and 3C3 for applications where they would be exposed to corrosive chemicals.

 

A built-in Soft PLC make it easy to maintain the VFD by providing a single platform for programming and monitoring. 

 

You can reduce costs with the built in HMI by eliminating the need for a separate one. You also save money on hardware and installation.

 

Soft-PLC is a software based PLC, a computer program that performs the same functions as a traditional PLC. It’s less expensive and more flexible!

Pump Genius

WEG CFW500 Pump Genius is specialized software that is dedicated to pumping systems. 

 

The software has pre-defined profiles for common pumping applications. 

 

A variety of algorithms ensure accurate pressure and flow, this improved the efficiency and performance of the pumping systems. 

 

Features in the software protect the pump from dry run, overcurrent and overvoltage. 

 

The step-by-step instructions are easy to configure and use.
