Pyramid Plastics recently installed its 5th Keyence Vision system to reliably detect the presence of inserts before the molding of the part. This technology reduces scrap and the possibility of those parts getting through to a customer.

Keyence Technicians spent a day at Pyramid Plastics troubleshooting and writing programs for parts that Pyramid selected.

Andy Peterson, COO of Pyramid Molding Group shared, “The Vision system allows us to overmold inserts with 100% confidence, ensuring they are present before we even shoot plastic. After trialing on a few projects, it is now on all jobs requiring inserts to be overmolded. This not only reduces labor but also means we have zero defects.”
