AIP Australasian Packaging Conference 2023 to convene manufacturing experts

The 2023 Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) Australasian Packaging Conference is slated to be held in person for the first time since the pandemic, attracting delegates from all facets of food, beverage, pharmaceutical, packaging and manufacturing industries.

The event, which will be held at the Crown Promenade, Melbourne on the 28th and 29th of March, will deliver a two-day educational program that will cover a broad range of topics relating to the theme “2025 & BEYOND.” 

The 2023 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design Awards will also be presented during the event on 28 March at a gala dinner hosted by the AIP, as announced by the institute.

In particular, the conference will focus on how different industries are moving towards the 2025 National Packaging Goals and will address issues including rejection, reduction, reuse, recycling, and circularity.

The speakers will also explore what the industry if it is to decrease single-use plastic, eliminate problematic materials, and plan for the future beyond 2025.

The event will also look into various ways in which materials and packaging types can be collected, sorted, recovered, and recycled in Australia and New Zealand.

Interested attendees, including packaging technologists, designers and engineers, sustainability managers, marketing, sales, production, design agencies equipment suppliers, and raw material providers are encouraged to attend.

Additionally, AIP is also inviting users of packaging, retailers and consumers, environmental managers, procurement, quality teams, government and councils and waste and recycling to grace the two-day event.
