Achieving Industry 4.0 Automation Through Advanced Systems

Aug. 25, 2023
IT/OT convergence, plug-and-produce and reference implementation are key to implementing digital automation globally.

Universal automation can be bolstered by the implementation of technologically advanced manufacturing equipment, advancing opportunities for engineers while removing challenges.

Information technology (IT) and operations technology (OT) convergence, plug-and-produce automation and reference implementation will help bring digital automation to all corners of the workforce. The use and implementation of all three systems at the same time from all firms is required to make this radical change.

“Industry 4.0 automation cannot be achieved by a single firm or vendor. Industry players must unite to share expertise, technology and innovation,” Control Design contributor John Conway said.
