BLM’s entry-level LS7 laser sheet cutting system offers high functionality

BLM GROUP USA has introduced the LS7 laser sheet cutting system, designed as an entry-level product with the features and functionality of a high-end system. It has a conventional aluminum mobile gantry structure actuated by a rack and pinion system, which slides on a very strong metal structure filled with polymer concrete to ensure high rigidity even with high accelerations up to 2G.

The cutting area has been designed to protect the bellows from the glowing sparks thrown in all directions, especially during piercing. Access is only from the short side, and the entire machine remains completely enclosed. The cutting process can be viewed on the operator console, an external monitor, or remotely.

The pallet change takes place on the long side in 9 sec. Handling is fully electric, without pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. The machine is available in 3,000- by 1,500-mm and 4,000- by 2,000-mm versions.
