foodpro, Australia’s largest and longest-running food manufacturing industry event, announced that the Victorian Government is its principal event partner for the first time.

The show, which features over 380 exhibitors, will be returning after a six-year hiatus from 23 to 26 July 2023, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“There’s a huge buzz in the industry about this year’s foodpro given we are making a much-anticipated return,” says foodpro Product Manager, Felicity Parker.

She added, “We will be the first Australian event in the international calendar to showcase the latest developments in food manufacturing from overseas as well as locally.”

Parker stated that suppliers, manufacturers of industrial equipment and food products, as well as wonderful networking opportunities and educational seminars, will be crammed into the show floor.

“Making Melbourne the home for foodpro in 2023, we are excited to showcase Victoria as a global hub for advanced and sustainable food production and are thrilled to be partnering with the Victorian Government,” she explained.

Meanwhile, the Victorian Government said it is pleased to be a key supporter of foodpro 2023, showcasing the absolute best in food manufacturing and innovation.

Victoria is the manufacturing hub for food and drink in Australia, accounting for more than 30 per cent of the country’s total revenue in 2021-22 with sales of over $40 billion.

The industry employs more than 76,000 people and exports manufactured food and beverage items worth over $9 billion annually, the biggest of any Australian state.

Moreover, The Victorian Government’s Made in Victoria 2030: Manufacturing Statement lays out a strategy to guarantee that Victoria remains a destination for sophisticated manufacturers to expand and prosper, especially in critical industries such as food production.

foodpro will be held from 23 to 26 July 2023, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
