Fastener Fair USA returns to Cleveland, Ohio May 22-23, 2024
The Fastener Distributor Index survey is back in growth territory with a 50.5 reading in February, up from 49.7 in January, seasonally adjusted. AFC Industries has acquired Philadelphia, PA based Globe International Corporation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1950, Globe is a leading supplier of fasteners, door hardware, and galvanized aircraft cable that also specializes in value-added kitting and other services. The acquisition marks AFC’s first deal of 2024 after it made seven acquisitions in 2023. Read more:
Genesys Industries announced that the company has acquired 100% of Latrobe Foundry Machine & Supply Company. Latrobe, Pennsylvania-based Latrobe Foundry was founded in 1933 by Louis C. Steiner and is a leading manufacturer of high-quality threaded and flanged aluminum pipe fittings and hardware. Latrobe Foundry is a multi-location manufacturer and has an established product line that are used in a wide variety of businesses, including aerospace, agricultural, chemical, construction, and marine.

Alphi Capital (“Alphi”), a lower middle market private equity firm based in Toronto, Ontario, announced its partnership with K2 Fasteners (“K2”).
