Up in Smoke Welding Apparel wins $30,000 grant from FedEx
In honor of Small Business Month, FedEx has awarded $30,000 to Up in Smoke Welding Apparel, Fulshear, Texas, one of 10 small businesses to receive the grand prize as part of the 11th annual FedEx Small Business Grant Contest.
The company designs welding gear that protects welders from burns and offers range of motion. Founded in 2015 by Mac Schurr, the company remains dedicated to reducing clothing waste. Schurr plans to use the grant to expand inventory.
