ABB Acquires Spring Point Solutions, Growing Motor Services Presence

ABB has expanded its motor services capabilities by acquiring Spring Point Solutions, a software as a service (SaaS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, Control reported.

The acquisition includes a customer relationship management tool and an equipment/quality management system specifically designed for motor repair facilities. These tools are expected to enhance operational efficiency for shops involved in selling and repairing ABB products.

The move is part of ABB Motion Services' strategy to strengthen its presence in the motor services industry. With Spring Point's expertise in consulting and digitization, combined with ABB's globally integrated parts and services capabilities, the aim is to boost the electrical powertrain ecosystem, providing increased levels of customer reliability, performance and outcomes.
