Ferra Engineering has signed a partnership agreement with Indian precision engineering company Dynamatic Technologies to enhance scale and capabilities in strategic aerospace manufacturing.

The memorandum of understanding inked by the two companies today will allow Ferra to expand its capabilities in India, which will enhance the Australian company’s manufacturing base in support of Australian programs delivered from its headquarters in Queensland.

Dynamatic Technologies is a global contributor to the aerospace industry and has a network of defence and aerospace original equipment manufacturers in India and around the world.

Cameron Dick, Queensland treasurer and minister for trade and investment, attended the MOU signing in Ferra’s Bengalore operations during his trade visit to India.

The minister commended Ferra for securing partnerships with customers in India and highlighted that efforts to support companies like Ferra further diversify Queensland’s economy and build on the state’s existing skills base.

Minister Dick said partnerships with global defence giants like Boeing and Dynamatic Technologies strengthen Queensland’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.

The minister recently visited Ferra’s headquarters in Brisbane to inspect the company’s progress in producing components for Boeing’s autonomous MQ-28A Ghost Bat aircraft.

“Thanks to support from the Queensland Government, we can further boost defence manufacturing capabilities for a range of upcoming projects, including delivering against the new MoU with Dynamatic Technologies,” said David Rogers, CEO of Ferra Engineering Australia

“Trade and Investment Queensland relationship with Ferra is well established having assisted the company to achieve several export outcomes in markets like the UK,” the CEO said. “With its increased manufacturing capability, in-house engineering services and assembly setup, Ferra India is now equipped to support more end-to-end services to its global customers.

Based in Brisbane with offices in the United States and India, Ferra specialises in the design, manufacture, and maintenance of complex electromechanical subsystems and structures primarily for defence, commercial and military aviation, and other industries.
