Carbon Fibre Futures Conference calls for abstract submissions from industry

Carbon Nexus, Deakin University’s cutting-edge research facility, has released a call for abstracts for the upcoming Carbon Fibre Futures Conference 2023. 

The event, which will be held from 8-10 May, will convene the global carbon fibre and composite materials community at Waurn Ponds Estate in Geelong to explore the latest innovations in the industry from across the globe. 

In a tweet on Monday, Deakin’s Institute for Frontier Materials called on business leaders and manufacturers in the field, urging them to submit their abstracts for oral presentations by downloading an abstract template posted on Carbon Nexus’ event page

Submissions should be closely aligned to one or more of the following themes: 

  • Manufacturing and processing of carbon fibre
  • Advances in carbon fibre recycling and sustainability
  • Innovative Carbon Materials of the Future
  • Modelling and Composites Characterisation
  • New Precursor Technologies
  • Surface Modification and Carbon Fibre Characterisation
  • Functional Carbon Fibre and Composite Materials

The deadline for abstract applications is on 24 February.
