Human in Motion Robotics earns $663K contract for DND

VANCOUVER — Innovative Solutions Canada has awarded Human in Motion Robotics Inc. a $663,000 contract to supply Canada’s Department of National Defence.

The federal government will use the contract to purchase two units of HMR’s lower-limb exoskeleton, XoMotion, a wearable robot designed to get people out of wheelchairs and walking with full mobility.

The DND will implement and evaluate the units at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown P.E.I.

HMR’s patented medical technology offers to assist mobility challenged persons’ in their  rehabilitation journey whether they be in clinics or living at home.

The XoMotion functions like a self-balancing bipedal robot capable of hands-free walking and other maneuvers.
