The Ohio Diversity Council Presents the National Manufacturing Diversity Summit

Canton, OH- The Ohio Diversity Council (OHDC) presents National Manufacturing Diversity Summit taking place on Wednesday, September 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST at the MAPS Air Museum in Canton, Ohio. The event, in partnership with the National Diversity Council (NDC), will focus on advancing HR leadership, recruitment, organizational development and other leadership positions in the manufacturing industry.

“Despite progress over the years, there is an insufficient amount of diverse representation in the C-Suite, boards and executive leadership teams,” said Dennis Kennedy, the founder and board chairman of the National Diversity Council. “It is time to commit to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in the field of manufacturing.”

The hybrid conference is a leadership development event that will bring together leaders from manufacturing companies across the nation to discuss shared industry challenges and collaborative solutions. The summit will feature three keynote presentations: The Timken Company’s Manager of Talent Management, Nicole Morrett, and Doug Smith, Vice President of Technology, and closing out Woon-Keat Moh, President – Color, Additives and Inks, Americas and Asia at Avient Corporation. General panel discussions and breakout sessions will focus on leadership development and advancement topics.

“It is critical that we create more opportunities for diverse representation in the C-Suite and beyond,” said Angeles Valenciano, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Diversity Council. “Our agenda of distinguished speakers, insightfully themed panel discussions, and workshops will educate and inspire attendees.”

The title sponsor of this event is Timken, and the event sponsors include Honda, Hexion, Swagelok, Avery Dennison, Avient Corp, Goodyear, US Steel, and MAGNET.
