Dinsmore Named HP Digital Manufacturing Partner

Polymer additive manufacturing company Dinsmore, part of the Addman Group, has been named an HP Digital Manufacturing Partner.

The distinction rewards Dinsmore’s early participation in HP's 18-month beta program for the HP Jet Fusion 5420W. The development of medical-grade white nylon by Dinsmore reportedly played a crucial role in that program and established a key market advantage. “In addition to printing benchmark parts, our team offered valuable customer feedback, aiding HP's technology refinement,” commented Executive Vice President Jay Dinsmore.  

Dinsmore is focused on growing its presence in the medical sector, and its new HP Jet Fusion 5420W system, equipped with medical-grade nylon 12, will help it to achieve that goal, the company said.

“Dinsmore [has] the expertise and capabilities needed to meet the growing demand for 3D-printed production parts in the medical sector and other industries,” said HP’s Greg Elfering. Its ability to strategically grow its additive business and develop game-changing applications that will help disrupt markets earned it the “notable distinction as an HP Digital Manufacturing Partner,” added Elfering.

The certification, which is only granted by invitation, positions Dinsmore globally as one of the premiere providers of best-in-class Multi Jet Fusion part quality and manufacturing expertise, said HP. The certification process involves a rigorous evaluation and onsite assessment, according to HP. 

Dinsmore is the most recent addition to Addman’s portfolio of advanced manufacturing companies. The group also includes Harbec, which has expertise in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and injection molding; Castheon, specialized in metal-based additive manufacturing; and Addman Precision, focused on CNC machining. The group was founded in 2020, and is part of the portfolio of middle-market private equity firm American Industrial Partners.
