Weiler Abrasives to Showcase Industry Solutions at FABTECH 2022

Visitors to booth C12065 can expect to learn how to overcome labor constraints, health and safety issues, and increasing expectations by uncovering breakthroughs in their surface conditioning processes. They will also experience solutions for a variety of industries, including shipbuilding and general fabrication, and a brand-new line of cups, cones and plugs with specially designed anchored mounting systems for additional safety. In addition, the company will be showcasing abrasives for multi-pass welding found in pipeline, pressure vessel and structural steel applications. These include cutting, grinding and combo wheels and flap discs for part prep and root pass, plus encapsulated wheels and bead brushes for hot, filler and cap passes.
Visitors can test their skills with the first–ever virtual reality (VR) abrasives training demo at FABTECH and immerse themselves in live simulations of cutting, grinding and finishing. Visitors make all the choices — from the proper personal protection equipment (PPE) to the correct abrasives and tools. The top grinder for each day of the show wins a $100 Amazon® gift card. Representatives will be available to assist with the demonstration and answer product and technical questions.
Weiler Abrasives specialists will also be scheduling consultations at the booth to help visitors understand their abrasive spend, along with ways to increase productivity and eliminate grinding and finishing bottlenecks. These can’t–miss consultations will include a thorough discussion of the steps needed to overcome challenges in the surface conditioning process, whether they are related to labor, safety or increased customer demand. Specialists can also offer recommendations for better ways to grind and finish stainless steel, Inconel, aluminum and other hard-to-work-with materials — and how to choose the right abrasive for specific applications.
