ATV320 is a variable speed drive designed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). It meets the demand for both simple and advanced applications of three phase synchronous and asynchronous motors from 0.18 to 15 kW from 200 to 690V. Furthermore, with an operating ambient temperature of -15 to 50 °C it is suitable for use without derating, or 50 to 60 °C with derating.

Offering both book and compact formats, it is suitable for various machine layouts inside a cabinet or machine. The standard model is IP21, or for harsh environments an IP65 version is also available. Typical applications include packaging machines, material handling, textile machine and hoists

ATV320 also enables integration with many of the more common Ethernet and serial-based communication networks. Embedded communication protocols include Modbus RJ45 and CANopen RJ45. Altivar ATV320 offers five easy macros for start/stop, handling, hoisting, general use and PID regulation. Moreover, it also has an onboard PLC capability and sixteen pre-set speeds. In addition, there are three analogue inputs allowing the VSD to act as a signal monitor. Other features include: PID for fan and pump control, positioning by limit switches or sensors, automatic restart, and PM motor open loop control.
