The 2023 Modern Manufacturing Expo is slated to once again convene industry players and exhibit the latest advancements and innovations in the manufacturing sector in September.

Set to take place from 20 to 21 September during the 2023 Expo at the Sydney Olympic Park, the event is expected to put a spotlight on cutting-edge products, equipment, technologies, and software developed by local manufacturers.

Marie Kinsella, chief executive officer of the International Exhibition and Conference (IEC) Group said registration for the expo is free in order to encourage as many manufacturers and industry professionals as possible to attend and benefit from the resources and expert insights offered by the event.

With the expo’s 2023 theme “Connected, Automated & Digital Transformation,” the event will focus on the recent worldwide popularity of artificial intelligence and explore how automated tools and technologies can be better leveraged by manufacturers and the industry at large.

“The 2022 Modern Manufacturing Expo was an overwhelming success, visitors over the course of two days and highlighted the need for the industry to come together again for in-person events in a post-COVID environment,” Kinsella added.

Key events such as the expo are in line with the New South Wales government’s efforts to tap into Australia’s natural resources and ensure the manufacturing industry’s continued strength, IEC said in a statement.

“It is vital that local manufacturers keep abreast of innovation and the latest technologies as they have the potential to power up operations and boost the speed and efficiency to bring new ideas and products to market,” Kinsella said.

In addition to the Modern Manufacturing Expo, industry leaders and other participants can also take advantage of the two co-located events: the Expert Arena and Smart Manufacturing Conference.

Access to the Expert Arena, which will feature short presentations from key manufacturing industry experts, is included in the Modern Manufacturing Expo registration.

Kinsella also encourages expo participants to sign up for the Smart Manufacturing Conference, where they can hear from some of the leading innovators in Australia and around the world as they share best practices for harnessing smart technologies to reduce operating and capital costs while boosting profitability.
