IW U.S. 500: Top 10 Aerospace & Defense Companies (slideshow)

The largest producers of aircraft and aerospace components from the IW U.S. 500 list of largest publicly traded manufacturing companies in the country.

Aerospace/defense companies had a great 2021, along with most of manufacturing. All but four of the top 10 companies in the segment were profitable last year with many boasting high, double-digit profit margins. Boeing's losses are understandable given its 737 woes. However, that should turn around significantly this year as the jumbo jet maker has been cleared to resume shipments of those planes.
