Machine Tool Innovation Awards Announced

CECIMO has announce that the first edition of the Machine Tools Innovation (MTI) Awards will take place in December 2023. EIT Manufacturing, EFFRA and ERT are the official partners of the MTI Awards. The awards represent an incredible opportunity to recognise and celebrate the innovative and impactful work being done in the machine tool industry. The aim of MTI Awards is to highlight the significant contributions of any European actors in the machine tool industry and showcase best practices that can provide that edge — boosting productivity, growth and profitability. The most notable projects will be chosen by a group of experts.

Visibility and Recognition

The Machine Tools Innovation competition can help highlight achievements and bring attention to products, services and business models. Winning an award can increase a company’s visibility and recognition, which can encourage further innovation.

Selection Criteria

Project Specifications: Outline features, functionality, and performance criteria that the project should meet. (10 points)

Uniqueness of proposal: Evaluate the originality and innovation of the organisation’s proposal. (5 points)

Contribution to the European Industry: Explain the potential impact of the proposed innovation on the European manufacturing sector and the machine tool industry. (5 points).

Environmental, social and governance impacts: Outline the key impacts of the entire innovation project lifecycle in terms of long-term success and contribution to a sustainable and socially responsible future. (5 points). The applications will be evaluated by the jury, which will award a score based on the four criteria. Applications are to be submitted by 1st September 2023.

The jury will evaluate the applications with three finalists nominated and invited to the CECIMO Brussels Forum and the Gala Dinner to be held on 6 December 2023. During the CECIMO Brussels Forum, the finalists will have the opportunity to present their projects with the audience voting for the winner.
