Rocklin’s MoldMender Micro Welder helps simplify mold and die repair

The MoldMender Micro Welder from Rocklin Manufacturing allows simplified, in-house mold repair through a low-heat, nonarcing welding process. According to the company, the unit solves scratches, imperfections, pin holes, parting lines, flashing, and other mold imperfections.

The machine produces interlinking spot welds to bond the repair material to the desired area of the workpiece. Rolling the electrode while triggering a footswitch permanently bonds the repair material, resulting in a consistent weld with very little heat generated. Minimizing the heat enables welding without distortion or splatter on adjacent areas.

There is no need for gas or a welding helmet, and the portable unit can be carried directly to the press for immediate repairs.
