Bosch Rexroth’s Mexico Plant Enhances Manufacturing Capacity

Nov. 9, 2023
The new plant is set to create around 900 jobs by 2027, contributing to the expansion of Bosch Rexroth's production capabilities in North America.

Bosch Rexroth, a leading provider of mobile hydraulics and factory automation products, has announced the opening of a new plant in Querétaro, Mexico, partner publication Control reported.

The facility, spanning 42,000 square meters, commenced operations in June and represents a strategic investment of approximately 160 million euros. This move is aimed at enhancing manufacturing capacity in North America, specifically for hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, transmission units, radial-piston motors, and linear motion products.

Automation engineers will be particularly interested in Bosch Rexroth's "local-for-local strategy," emphasizing regional manufacturing to bolster supply chain efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability while reducing the carbon footprint. The company's commitment to shorter delivery times and a more robust supply chain aligns with the demands of the automation industry, ensuring quicker response to customer requirements.
