 LindFast Solutions Group Has announced that they have completed  the acquisition of Hi-Q Fasteners. Hi-Q provides a complete line of Sems, Thread Forming and Machine Screws, Spacers and Standoffs and Self Clinching Hardware.

 AFC Industries has acquired Chicago Industrial Fasteners (https://cifbolts.com/). Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2003 by John and Cathy Price, CIF specializes in the supply of both standard and specialty fasteners to its customer base of original equipment manufacturers, hardware providers, and material fabricators that operate in a variety of end markets, including heavy trucking, automotive, agricultural equipment, and wind and solar power.

The Great Lakes Fasteners Group has acquired Frontier Fastener of Buffalo, New York, to continue its rapid growth plans serving manufacturers and other customers throughout the Northeast. Frontier Fastener has been a Western New York fastener favorite for over 50 years serving a wide variety of customers across many segments. Frontier specializes in special fasteners designed to customer specifications.

Jeffrey F. Koehl Has Been Appointed Chairman of SPIROL International Holding Corporation. Jeff joined the company in 1997 and has been serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SPIROL since his appointment in 2010. Jeff succeeds his father, Hans H. Koehl, who passed away on November 30, 2023.  Read more: spirol.com

Würth Group has Appointed Dee Ward Senior Vice President of Wurth Industry Asia-Pacific & Africa. Dee is the former CEO of Marine Fasteners has demonstrated a history of leadership and business acumen in the B2B arena. Skilled in Leadership, Sales, Business Management, Nonprofit Organizations, and Volunteer Management.

The 2023 Fastener Distributor Index demonstrated a year of fluctuations and recovery in the fastener distribution market. The 2023 FDI overall average monthly reading, excluding December was 48. The year started with the FDI largely below the neutral threshold of 50, indicating contraction in the market. However, there was a notable shift towards the end of the year, with consistent improvement observed in the later months. The FDI reading in November maintained momentum with a 53.4 reading and the Forward-Looking Indicator surpassing a 50 reading for the first time since July 2022, signaling recovery, optimism, and continued growth moving in to 2024. The award was created by NFDA to honor individuals and companies that make a substantial positive impact on people’s lives. Membership in NFDA is not a requirement to be selected for the Fastener Professional of the Year award. Self-nominations are acceptable, or nominations can be submitted by others.

The Gilchrist Foundation is accepting applications for their 2024 scholarship!
